An update is available for version 4.7.5 of the codec pack that upgrades it to version 4.7.7. The update pack includes a newer version of ffdshow. This update fixes a problem that could cause a crash in WMP and Media Center.
K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs, DirectShow filters and tools. Codecs and DirectShow filters are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video formats.
